What oven removal bristol actually looks like.
Ovens go wrong at the worst time and then sit in the way for weeks. I take freestanding cookers, built-in single and double ovens, and range cookers. Gas cookers need the gas capped by a Gas Safe registered engineer before I move them — I’ll lift and remove, but the pipework cap is a separate trade. Per-item price, quoted on the phone, confirmed on arrival. No VAT, no call-out.
Electric ovens — straightforward
Built-in electric ovens are screwed into the cabinet with four screws and hardwired to a junction box behind the unit. I isolate the circuit, unscrew and slide the oven out. Freestanding electric cookers are a plug and a lift. Neither is a drama. Oven-door glass is the part most likely to get scratched in transit — I blanket-wrap the front before we move it.
Gas cookers — cap first
I can’t legally disconnect a gas supply — that has to be done by a Gas Safe engineer. Once it’s capped I’ll lift and remove. Ranges are a two-person job because of the weight and cast-iron trivets. If you haven’t got a Gas Safe engineer lined up, I can recommend one, but the gas cap itself isn’t part of this service.
